Pamyla Fountain Brown

Senior Director, Community and Citizenship
Turner Paschen Aviation Partners

Pam boasts more than 20 years of experience developing diversity programs, which promote economic self-sufficiency among low income and underrepresented populations through entry routes into high-wage, high skill careers within the construction industry. More than 11 of those years were spent working for a Chicago-based non-profit, Chicago Women in Trades.  Pamyla served as the Director of programs where she helped to prepare women for careers in the skilled trades.

She has served on several advisory committees and boards with the mission of increasing the number of women and minorities accessing construction workforce and subcontracting opportunities.  She maintains relationships with the local apprenticeship programs to gain a greater understanding of the application processes and prospective applicants.

She has also participated in city-wide forums to address procurement and compliance issues amongst city agencies. Pamyla is also active with several Diversity, Equity and Inclusion taskforce and committees throughout the city.

In her current role, Pamyla is responsible for the development and execution of economic impact programs for the construction of the Obama Presidential Center and O’Hare 21 program, among other projects.  She also is responsible for the planning of the Turner School of Construction Management, a series of free workshops (classes) for small diverse entrepreneurs interested in learning more about construction management.

Pamyla also works with the Turner staff to plan volunteer events to inspiring individuals and organizations throughout Chicago.

She was recently named one of Crain’s Chicago Business 2021 Notable Executives in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
