Connections MarketPlace: Teaming Talks Roundtable Session with NABWIC

On behalf of the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), we invite you to participate in our Connections MarketPlace. In honor of Women’s History Month, during this Teaming Talks session, you will hear from the National Association of Black Women in Construction (NABWIC) on how to strategically leverage your small business in construction for federal contracting.

NABWIC is an organization whose mission is to address the unique challenges of black women in the construction industry and champion and empower black women in construction and related industries to reach their full potential as entrepreneurs, small business owners, government professionals and industry leaders. They work with WOSB, HUBZone, SDVOB, SDB, DBE, and 8(a) certified companies. NABWIC members can expand personal and business networks, maintain awareness of industry developments, improve skills and knowledge, and contribute to other women in the construction industry. They also work with Federal Agencies, Prime Contractors, and Industry Professionals to assist the small business community.

Attendees will be able to:

  • Increase knowledge of teaming with NABWIC
  • Learn about how small businesses are currently contracting with the federal government and state governments on construction opportunities
  • Gain insight into how to effectively maximize construction projects with NABWIC
  • Find out how to become an effective teaming partner
