Burns & McDonnell’s Aviation Practice

Cyle Cantrell is an Aviation Business Development Manager in the Great Lakes Region for Burns & McDonnell’s Aviation Practice.  Although his primary focus centers on business development, pursuit management and strategic teaming, he occasionally finds himself engaged as a project manager or discipline manager for specialized airport projects.

Aviation was an early passion for Cyle, which led him to pursue his degree from the University of North Dakota’s in Airport Management.  While completing his undergraduate degree, Cyle was able to acquire his private pilot certificate as part of the curriculum which has proven to be a valuable tool in the aviation industry.

For the first 20 years of Cyle’s career, he gained a foundation of experience serving the Chicago Department of Aviation serving in multiple capacities at both Midway and O’Hare – Airfield Operations, Noise Abatement, the O’Hare Modernization Program, and the Design & Construction Group.

During Cyle’s early career years, he completed a Project Management Program (PMP) at Loyola Chicago University and was an adjunct professor at Lewis University’s Aviation Program at the De La salle High Institute in the Chicago Brownsville neighborhood.

For the past eight years, Cyle has remained focused on improving our aviation infrastructure through the development of genuine, meaningful, and lasting relationships in the aviation industry.
