Charles Everett is the Director of Aviation for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, which operates one of the world’s busiest and most complex airport systems. It includes 5 airports: JFK, Newark, LaGuardia, Stewart and Teterboro. Previously, he served as Deputy Director, Aviation and General Manager of John F. Kennedy International. Before joining the Port Authority, he managed several airports in Syracuse, New York and Allentown, Pennsylvania. He has worked with the Offices of Airports and Government and Industry Affairs for the Federal Aviation Administration at their Headquarters in Washington, D.C., dealing with national airport system master planning, environmental issues, and funding for capital improvements.

Mr. Everett is a retired U.S. Air Force Reserve officer with a military specialty in logistics, having served in the Reserve Forces and Air National Guard units of multiple states. He received a bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies, majoring in Transportation Planning, from the College of Arts & Sciences of the University of Pennsylvania. He also has a Master of Business Administration degree from Robert Kennedy College, specializing in International Business, in partnership with the University of Cumbria.

Mr. Everett is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS), a Certified Member (C.M.) of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), a Certified Management Consultant (CMC®) by the Institute of Management Consultants USA, a Past President of the New York Aviation Management Association and former board member Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA). He focuses on inspiring authentic leadership, dealing with change in organizations, and preparing a diverse workforce for the future of the aviation and aerospace industry.
