Barbara Patton joined the City of San Antonio in 1994. She has over 28 years of municipal government experience. 15 of those years was with the San Antonio Airport System and for the last 10 years she worked in the Small Business Division. In her current role as the Aviation Department’s Business Opportunity and Diversity Development Manager she manages and monitors the administration and compliance of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program, Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) Program, Small Business Economic Development Advocacy (SBEDA) Program and the Title VI Non-Discrimination Compliance Program for the Aviation Department. Under her leadership, Barbara has improved the Division’s customer and stakeholder satisfaction while continuing to achieve excellence with her other duties as the FAA’s liaison for the Department’s DBE program, ACDBE program and Title VI program. As the Business Opportunity and Diversity Development Manager her goal is to advance the economic growth of small, minority, disadvantaged and women-owned businesses and to increase greater participation of local small and minority-owned businesses. Also, Mrs. Patton is certified as a Master Compliance Administrator.

Mrs. Patton is a member of the ACI-NA Business Diversity Steering Group Committee, Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC), the American Contract Compliance Association National Association (ACCA) and the City of Antonio’s Women’s Leadership Mentoring Program
