Rosalie Hornbuckle was appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer in November of 2016. She is responsible for improving processes, creating new strategies in the HR Department, establish programs to attract and retain quality employees, develop initiatives to increase employee engagement and effectiveness, and provide managerial/supervisory mentoring and coaching. Prior to her current role, Ms. Hornbuckle was the Deputy Chief of Human Resources for Mastery Charter Schools in Philadelphia. Ms. Hornbuckle holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from Lincoln University, a Master of Science in Human Resources from Widener University, and a Graduate Certificate in Pension and Employee Benefits from the Institute of Paralegal Studies in Philadelphia.
Ms. Hornbuckle also served as a former Board of Trustees Member for the; Philadelphia Independent School Business Officers Association (PAISBOA), Philadelphia Area Independent Schools Group Consortium (PAISIG), and the Multiple Employer Welfare Association (MEWA). She is also a member of the College and University Professional Association (CUPA) and the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).
