Roger Schwandtner has worked for multiple international companies in the area of business development and operations. With more than 29 years of experience in the airport industry, he has demonstrated negotiation expertise that has resulted in expansion of existing business through lease extensions and the addition of new restaurants. He is also well-versed in the design and construction, and has led the development, and renovation of over 100 airport restaurants.
Mr. Schwandtner has been a resident of Houston since 1998, when he led the transition of 18 stores from HMS Host to Delaware North Companies at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. As the general manager, he oversaw the renovation and construction of 33 stores at IAH Airport. He also ran the day-to-day operations and was the liaison between the company and the ACDBE subtenants. He remained the general manager until 2004, through the completion of construction and was awarded an extension to term. He was then promoted to director of business development.
In 2007, he was hired by JDDA Concession Management and negotiated a joint venture with SSP America, which lead to an eight year extension for the Houston Intercontinental Airport – Terminal C food and beverage program. He was hired by SSP America as vice president, business development, and oversaw the transition and construction of 15 stores.
In 2011, Mr. Schwandtner left SSP America and began working with Creative Food Group, helping them grow their airport business from 2 airports to 8 airports.
He is graduate of Lone Star College with an Associates of Science degree in Accounting.
